The Overland Trail Edition Jeep JK is not limited off road by the functionality of traditional front bumpers, rather it is replaced with a modular, customizable component package that can be configured and reconfigured into 18 different designs.  From a basic, full-width front bumper to a rockcrawler-style stub bumper and full headlight/grill guard package, you can build the exact front-end system you need. HIGH-STRENGTH MEETS LIGHTWEIGHT

Traditional expedition and off-road gear is strong, it has to be, but often at the expense of being unnecessarily heavy. That extra weight overloads the vehicle suspension, reduces cargo capacity, and adversely effects vehicle performance. Our US-made Modular Front-End System (MFES) is engineered using 6061-T6 aluminum, laser cut and Tig welded, for lightweight, high-strength performance and durability. All the strength of a comparable steel bumper system, at half the weight.

This is off-road and that means you will need recovery gear. We offer a full range of Pronghorn Overland Gear expedition-grade recovery point options to meet your requirements. From recovery hooks or high-strength shackle mounts, to our severe-duty Rotator Shackle Mount, Need a winch? We offer three mounting options: Top mount, our new low-mount design, and our innovative GearMount winch system, which allows you to quickly and easily attach the winch when and where you need it (front, rear or sides of the vehicle)

Well designed expedition and off-road gear should be tough, durable, and include some serious functionality. With that in mind Pronghorn Overland Gear designed the MFES with their patented GearMount accessory mounting system. GearMount allows you to quickly and securely attach cargo racks, work/cook tables, recovery winches or any of the other GearMount accessories to your MFES, as well as your Modular Rear-End System and upcoming Side Rail Systems. 850 lb cargo capacity, 14,500 lb winch capacity.

AUXILIARY LIGHTING OPTIONS

The job description for a skid plate seems simple enough: Protect the vehicle components when you hit an obstacle. Pretty straightforward, but that is only part of the equation. A well designed skid plate must also allow the vehicle to slide over the obstacle with as little resistance as possible. Whether at speed or during recovery operations the less drag on the underside of the vehicle the easier it is to drive through or be pulled through whatever obstacle you’re facing.

The MFES-Jeep JK fully prepared for night ops. If you are going to need high- performance auxiliary lighting we have you covered. The MFES is equipped with nine pre-cut mounting locations for mounting external auxiliary lights.

Not every expedition and off-road vehicle is going to need the same front-end system. Your trails may be about thick brush and possible animal strikes. High Profile Tires

A narrow, taller tire will provide superior expedition performance to a wide one. This is due to contact pressure and its affect on adhesion, deformation and mechanical keying, which are the critical components of traction on rugged terrain.

High Ground Clearance

An overland suspension system provides an additional 3-4″ ride height and increased suspension travel to Jeep’s stock build for broader trail compatibility and a noticeable improvement of overall off-road performance.
